Most wedding companies offer fixed tiers: you pick a box, you get what's in it. Mintkbeta works differently. We begin every engagement with a discovery meeting — usually a 90-minute conversation at our Douglas Street studio or over video — where we map out the scope your celebration actually requires. From that conversation, we build a custom proposal: the specific services, the team members, the timeline, and the budget framework that fits your day. You're not paying for services you don't need, and nothing essential gets left out. Our team has coordinated over 140 weddings across Vancouver Island since 2016, ranging from 12-person elopements at Mystic Beach to 200-guest receptions at historic Craigdarroch Castle.
Complete project management from 12 months out to the last vendor payment. Includes an initial planning session, a shared digital workspace for documents and timelines, monthly progress calls, rehearsal coordination, and a dedicated lead coordinator present from setup through send-off. We handle all supplier communications so your inbox stays clear.
A curated shortlist of 4–6 venues drawn from our working relationships across Victoria, Saanich, the Cowichan Valley, and the Southern Gulf Islands. We accompany you to site visits, negotiate contracts, and review venue terms — flagging any clauses that commonly cause issues. After you sign, we maintain the venue relationship through to your event day.
Menu consultation, tasting facilitation, and dietary matrix management. We work with both venue-affiliated caterers and independent chefs, and we know which local suppliers offer the best seasonal produce on Vancouver Island. Service style — family-style, plated, grazing — is matched to your venue layout and your guests' preferences.
A complete visual brief covering colour palette, florals, lighting, linen, tableware, stationery, and signage. We create a mood board specific to your story — drawing on our violet-creative approach and the natural tones of the Pacific Northwest — and then source and install every element. Post-event, we coordinate vendor collection so you aren't managing that the morning after.
For full planning, 10–14 months before your date gives us the best options, especially for popular venues on Vancouver Island in summer. That said, we've coordinated beautiful weddings with as little as four months' lead time — reach out and we'll be honest about what's achievable.
Yes. We regularly plan weddings across Vancouver Island, the Southern Gulf Islands (Salt Spring, Galiano, Pender), and occasionally in the Metro Vancouver area. Travel is factored into your proposal honestly — no surprise invoices.
We don't photograph or film weddings — we work with a vetted list of photographers and videographers we trust and will gladly make introductions. We also don't provide live music or DJ services directly, though we coordinate with all the performers you engage. Legal officiant services are handled by a separate registered officiant of your choice.
We offer a day-of coordination service, but we require at least one planning handover meeting — typically four weeks before your date — so we genuinely know your event rather than reading from a stranger's notes on the morning. This protects you, your guests, and your suppliers.
Every proposal is custom, so we don't publish flat rates. After your discovery meeting, we send a written quote that itemises exactly what's covered. Most full-planning engagements fall between $4,500 and $12,000 CAD depending on scale and scope. Design-only and partial-coordination packages start lower. We're transparent and happy to work within a defined budget.
