Mintkbeta is a Victoria-based wedding planning and design studio focused on bespoke celebrations for couples who care about the details.
Mintkbeta was founded in Victoria in 2016 by a small team of event designers and logistics coordinators who had each spent years working within larger hospitality companies and found the same frustration: clients were being shaped to fit packages, rather than packages being shaped to fit clients. We started the studio to correct that. Today, Mintkbeta is a team of six: two lead coordinators, a design director, a catering specialist, and two on-call event staff. We plan and design weddings exclusively — no corporate events, no birthday parties, no charity galas. That focus means every resource, every supplier relationship, and every conversation we have is oriented toward making wedding days better. Since 2016, we have coordinated more than 140 weddings across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, ranging from 12-person elopements at remote coastal locations to 200-guest receptions in Victoria's heritage venues.
Our process begins with a discovery meeting — a genuine conversation, not a sales pitch. We ask about the feeling you want, the guests who matter most, the moments you're most nervous about, and the things you absolutely don't want. From there, we build a proposal that addresses your actual wedding rather than a hypothetical one. We work in what we call a violet-creative register: considered, unhurried, and specific — the same qualities we find in the best design, in a well-composed room, in a ceremony that feels inevitable rather than staged. We are honest about what we can't control: weather, family dynamics, ferry schedules in the Gulf Islands. We build contingency plans, but we don't sell certainty. What we do promise is that every decision made before your wedding day will have been made thoughtfully, with your preferences driving it — and that on the day itself, you will have a calm, experienced team managing everything so you don't have to.
Every one of them planned without a prefabricated template. Our experience comes from variety — elopements, multicultural ceremonies, coastal gardens, heritage halls — and it shows in how we anticipate problems before they arrive.
We don't diversify into corporate events or other celebrations. Our entire supplier network, our seasonal knowledge, and our team's training exist for one purpose: making your wedding day run exactly as it should.
